The Falcons Nest is in the centre of Port Erin, on the south-west coast of the Isle of Man. The hotel only is 10 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Douglas.

Arriving by Ferry

Arriving by Plane

The Isle of Man Sea Terminal is the arrival and departure point for all passenger and car ferries operating to and from the Isle of Man, and is located in the Island’s capital, Douglas.

Travelling by Car / Motorcycle

We are a half an hour drive from the Sea Terminal, Douglas. 14.3 miles / 23 km via the A5.

We have a dedicated private car park at the hotel, with ample space.

Taxis are readily available from the Sea Terminal and are reasonably priced. Car rentals can be arranged from the Sea Terminal, too.

Travelling by Bicycle

It takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to cycle to Falcon’s Nest Hotel. The distance is 13.8 miles / 22.3 km. Please contact us to arrange bicycle storage.

Travelling by Bus

Regular buses travel between Douglas and Port Erin. The main bus station is a short walk from the ferry and the journey takes less than an hour. Bus No. 1, 2, 2A, 11, 12 & 12A.

Travelling by Steam Train

What a great way to arrive! The railway station in Douglas is only a few minutes from the ferry terminal. In the season (March to October) trains operate four times daily, the line terminating in Port Erin, only a couple of minutes from the hotel.

The Isle of Man Airport, is the main airport on the Isle of Man. It is located in the south of the island at Ronaldsway near Castletown.

Travelling by Taxi

We are a 13 minute drive from Ronaldsway Airport. 5.6 miles / 9 km on the A5.

Taxis are readily available and reasonably priced. Car rentals are also available from the Airport.

Travelling by Bus

Regular buses travel between the Airport and Port Erin. The journey takes less than half an hour. Bus No. 1, 2, 2A, 11, 12 & 12A.

Travelling by Steam Train

The nearest train station to the Airport is Ronaldsway Halt, just across from the terminal (although not easy to find) however trains only stop here on request. The easier station to use is Ballasalla which is a 10 minute walk away.
